Scotland&#8217;s heritage sector showcases lots of these, such as:<\/p>\n<h2>Britain from Above<\/h2>\n<p>This\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/britainfromabove.org.uk\/en\">Britain from Above<\/a>\u00a0website features 95,000 aerial photographs of Britain, dating from 1919-1953. The images come from the *Aerofilms collection, and were digitised and made public during the four-year Britain from Above project.<\/p>\n<p>Explore the collection of photographs to see how life changed over time in Britain by using the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/britainfromabove.org.uk\/en\/galleries\">galleries<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0use the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/britainfromabove.org.uk\/en\">search button<\/a>\u00a0to find photos from a particular area \u2013 each record is linked to Ordnance Survey pin, and shows the map underneath the photo, so you can zoom in and out of the area<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>*Read about Aerofilms Collection\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/britainfromabove.org.uk\/en\/about\">here<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Watch a film on the<a href=\"https:\/\/britainfromabove.org.uk\/en\/legacy\">\u00a0Aerofilms company<\/a>, where so many of the images in the collection come from<\/li>\n<li>See what\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/britainfromabove.org.uk\/en\/legacy\">legacy<\/a>\u00a0the Britain from Above project created<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>CANMORE<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/archaeologyscotland.org.uk\/heritage-resources-portal\/canmore\/canmore.org.uk\">Canmore<\/a>\u00a0contains more than 320,000 records and 1.3 million catalogue entries for archaeological sites, buildings, industry and maritime heritage across Scotland.\u00a0Compiled and managed by\u00a0Historic Environment\u00a0Scotland, Canmore contains information and collections from all its survey and recording work, as well as from a wide range of other organisations, communities and individuals who are helping to enhance this national resource.<\/p>\n<h2>SCRAN<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scran.ac.uk\/\">SCRAN<\/a>\u00a0\u201chosts over 490,000 amazing, fully-captioned images, sounds and videos from over 300 museums, galleries, and archives including the V&amp;A, National Galleries of Scotland, Glasgow Museums and The Scotsman. Search the whole resource base for free using the search box at top right: subscribers can log-in and get full free access to all our materials and great tools including Stuff and Create\u201d.<\/p>\n<h2>Object handling boxes<\/h2>\n<p>Several organisations, such as Archaeology Scotland, Archaeology for Communities in the Highlands and the University of St Andrews, all have artefact handling kits that groups can borrow &#8211; all can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/archaeologyscotland.org.uk\/heritage-resources-portal\/category\/type-of-resource\/activity\/handling-kit\/\">here<\/a>.
