Get hands on with history!<\/p>\n

\"\"Archaeology Scotland’s\u00a0Storytelling Kit<\/a>\u00a0explores the past through real archaeological artefacts – and the stories they can tell. The kit introduces learners to the idea that artefacts are objects can help us to understand the past, and is primarily aimed at early years’ learners. It includes activity ideas and a set of real artefacts:<\/p>\n

  1. a piece of Roman pottery<\/li>\n
  2. a Viking spindle whorl<\/li>\n
  3. a piece of medieval green glaze pottery<\/li>\n
  4. a glass bottle from the 1920s<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Each object comes with its own story and illustrated pictures telling how it was made, how it was used and how it was rediscovered.<\/p>\n
