It combines information from their&nbsp;Historic Environment Portal, Canmore, SCRAN, and Property in Care Collections.&nbsp;Canmore and Scran are retired, with records redirected to their equivalent page on trove.scot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">trove.scot launched in February 2025 and the website is being regularly updated, with additional features and updates being added. Users can now delve into Scotland\u2019s heritage with the platform, which brings together millions of HES\u2019s unique and diverse collections of information, images, video, spatial data and archival material in one convenient place for the first time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From standing stones to skate parks,&nbsp;trove.scot&nbsp;contains over 5,000 years of Scotland\u2019s history in approximately three million records, combining designation records of Scotland\u2019s most important historic sites and buildings; the catalogue of Scotland\u2019s archaeology and built heritage; over 2,000 culturally significant objects from HES\u2019s properties; and educational and archival images and media from SCRAN.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Katerina Brown, Chief Executive of HES, said:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are excited to be bringing heritage even closer to people\u2019s everyday lives with this new platform.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.trove.scot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">trove.scot<\/a>&nbsp;will make it easier to learn about the heritage and historic environment that surrounds you, whether that is the listed buildings on your street or archive images of historic events that shaped communities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">trove.scot marks one of the largest investments in our programme to improve and enhance digital access to information on the historic environment, and increase the number and diversity of people who engage with Scotland\u2019s history and heritage.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe hope that by making the vast store of information we hold more&nbsp;accessible, trove.scot&nbsp;will encourage more people to dig into Scotland\u2019s past and see what they can discover with the new platform.
