Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a budding archaeologist, or just curious about what lies beneath our feet, this event is for you. No previous experience is required—just bring your curiosity and a sense of adventure!
What’s Happening?
- Get Hands-On: Roll up your sleeves and take part in the dig! You’ll have the chance to unearth hidden artifacts and connect with Scotland’s fascinating wartime history.
- Meet the Experts: Our team of archaeologists will be on-site to share their findings and discuss the intriguing WWII-era history of Newbattle Abbey. Ask questions, learn about the discoveries, and gain insight into the life of an archaeologist.
- Family Fun: There’s something for all ages! Help us build a model of the WWII Dining Hall from the Newbattle Training Camp, or let the kids get creative by making their very own periscope.
