Archaeological Research in Progress Conference 2026

We are excited to announce that Scotland’s national annual Archaeological Research in Progress (ARP) conference will take place on Saturday 23rd May 2026 at the Robert Burns Centre in Dumfries and Galloway (and online!).

The event is being organised this year by Archaeology Scotland in partnership with the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland and Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Archaeology Service. It aims to cover archaeological research in progress from around Scotland covering all periods.

Funded Student Tickets

Our wonderful sponsors at Clyde Archaeology have donated sponsorship for two free tickets for students wishing to attend the conference in person. The sponsorship provides £50 towards each student, covering in-person ticket pricing and contributing towards travel costs.
