Are you passionate about Scotland’s rich heritage and eager to make a difference? Archaeology Scotland is seeking 4 dedicated individuals to join our Board of Trustees. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organisation that believes in the power of archaeology to transform lives and build stronger communities.
Why Join Us?
At Archaeology Scotland, our vision is simple yet profound: we believe that archaeology has the power to connect people to Scotland’s heritage, changing lives and strengthening communities. We envision a world where everyone can experience and benefit from this transformative connection.
Our mission is to explore Scotland’s past to create better futures. We aim to inspire and empower people of all ages and backgrounds to engage with and care about Scotland’s archaeological heritage.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for up to four new Board Members who share our passion and commitment. Whether you have experience in audience development, digital technology, equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDEI), fundraising, human resources, learning and training provision, or marketing, your expertise could be invaluable to our work. However, you don’t need to be an expert in these areas—if you have a deep interest in Scottish archaeology, you can make a significant impact.
We are committed to expanding and diversifying our Board to ensure it reflects the inclusive values we hold dear. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain board experience, particularly if you’ve never served on one before. We welcome fresh perspectives and new ideas to help us continue growing and achieving our goals.
How to Apply
If you’re interested in joining our Board, we’d love to hear from you. Please submit a brief letter detailing your interest in Archaeology Scotland and how your experience and skills could help us achieve our mission.
Send your application in Word format to Moira Greig, President of Archaeology Scotland, via email to Gavin MacGregor, CEO, at g.macgregor@archaeologyscotland.org.uk
If you’d like to learn more about this opportunity or have an informal chat about how you could contribute, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Gavin at the email address above.
